Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible Winchester Model 23 XTR Pigeon Grade side-by-side shotgun chambered for 3" shells. Manufactured circa 1980 by the legendary Olin-Kodensha plant in Japan, this Pigeon Grade is an exceptional example of vintage Winchester craftsmanship, complete with a gorgeous coin-finished, scroll-engraved receiver and premium checkered walnut stock. This particular gun features the highly desirable 26-inch barrels. Choke: Improved Cylinder (Right Barrel) and Modified (Left Barrel). This makes for an incredibly well-balanced, classic upland bird configuration.
Condition Details: This firearm is in mechanical unused condition with flawless, mirror bores, tight factory lockup, and crisp mechanics. The walnut checkering and overall finish are incredibly sharp. There are a couple of small spots of light surface rust localized on the exterior steel at the breech end of the barrels (near where the action breaks open to reload). It has intentionally been left uncleaned so the buyer can treat it as they prefer, ensuring the original factory bluing is preserved.
